Chelsea has submitted a 45 million euro bid to engage Eintracht Frankfurt's attacker, Luka Jovic, according to reports reported in Germany.

The 21-year-old is considered one of the best prospects in Europe and has had an outstanding season with 19 goals in 27 games.

Jovic, currently on loan to Frankfurt by Benfica, is followed by several clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Earlier this week, reports in Spain said Barcelona had reached a personal agreement with Jovic and was preparing to negotiate with Frankfurt on transfer fees.

Even if the striker is on loan, the Bundesliga club has already announced that it will exercise its right of purchase clause under its contract with Benfica.

But according to Bild, Chelsea has made Jovic its priority target for the summer period and is ready to present a £ 39 million offer.

After signing Gonzalo Higuain in January, Chelsea is also on the market for another attacker this summer. Olivier Giroud's contract will expire at the end of the season, although a one-year extension is possible.

Jovic's representative, Fali Ramadani, is currently in talks with Frankfurt to discuss possible options once the season is over.
