Chelsea vs West Ham team news: expected line-up – Sarri about the problem, discusses Hudson-Odoi | Football | sport

Chelsea will host West Ham Monday night in the Premier League (from 20h).

The Blues collide after their 3-0 win against Brighton last week.

The men of Sarri know that a win against the Hammers could allow Chelsea to rank third, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham.

Young Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi made his Blues debut against Brighton just days after his debut in England.

The winger impressed against Brighton, however, Sarri refused to confirm that Hudson-Odoi would get more playing time for the rest of the season.

When asked at the pre-game press conference whether Hudson-Odoi would play West Ham, Sarri simply replied, "I do not know."

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is another youngster from Chelsea who has struggled to save time against Sarri this season.

The 23-year-old scored in Blues' last two games against Cardiff and Brighton.

However, Sarri said Loftus-Cheek was not fit enough to play 90 minutes.

When asked if Loftus-Cheek would start most games in the coming weeks, Sarri replied, "Maybe, but we have to check every day the state of his back.

"This morning, he had only one recovery session because he needs time to recover after a game."

"The problem is that he probably can not play 90 minutes."

Olivier Giroud started – and scored – against Brighton last week, with the impressive Arsenal ex-man.

Sarri chose Gonzalo Higuain, who struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge.

And the boss of Chelsea revealed that he was happy to have Giroud and Higuain.

"I think it's [Higuain] needs time to improve his condition and be fit for the Premier League, but I think he's able to do it, "he added.

"We are lucky because we have Giroud and he is in very good physical and mental shape.

"We play every three days, so we need both."

Chelsea predicted the lineup against West Ham United – Premier League

(4-3-3): Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Ruddier, Luiz, Palmieri; Jorginho, Kante, Barkley; Willian, Hazard, Giroud
