According to a report, Chelsea is seriously considering recruiting Philippe Coutinho in Barcelona this summer.
The transfer of Coutinho to Barcelona did not all work as expected, despite the Brazilian midfielder scoring against Manchester United in the Champions League this month.
Rumors of a return to England refuse to leave, with Manchester United reportedly eager to bring back the playmaker into the north of England.
Spanish reports have previously stated that Chelsea also identified Coutinho ideal replacement for Eden Hazard linked to Real Madrid.
The highly respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed these claims by stating that Coutinho figured prominently on his list of summer goals.
While Hazard apparently confirms his departure from Stamford Bridge after the Europa League's 4-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, Chelsea are looking for creative players.
The Blues are currently on the verge of serving a 12-month transfer ban for alleged underage players, but this decision has been appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Coutinho played more than 50 appearances with the Catalan giants in all competitions last season, but has only 11 goals and 5 badists.
