Chelsea's second preseason game ended emphatically against St Patrick's Athletic in Dublin thanks to goals from Mason Mount, Emerson and Olivier Giroud, who scored two goals.

Lampard made changes to the Bohemians' side earlier in the week, but once again, the youngsters had plenty of opportunities to demonstrate their talent.

And it was a young player who gave Chelsea the lead while Mason Mount, who was playing for Lampard on loan at Derby, opened the scoring with a nice finish.

Mount picked up a well thought out pbad from Jorginho and quickly moved away from goalkeeper before touching the goal.

The Chelsea midfielder's game continued to baffle St Patricks, who gave up chance after opportunity.

Michy Batshuayi had two missed opportunities before Tammy Abraham hit high and wide with a wild effort.

Midfielder Ross Barkley then shook the wood after finding space to unleash a rocket 20 meters away.

The Blues would not escape the half without another goal.

Center-back Emerson lifted the ball from the bottom to the left but managed to sneak past before being tempted by the shots of his teammates.

That's exactly what the Italian did, coming straight into the center of goalkeeper Barry Murphy.

Barkley got a free kick saved while Abraham got a one-on-one after a nice game of Mateo Kovacic in the middle of the field.

Lampard then made big changes in the half, exchanging the eleven players for a new group including Giroud, Cesar Azpilicueta, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Pedro.

But it was the young Kasey Palmer who threatened earlier to have him saved by a resistant Murphy.

Kenedy, who succeeded Emerson, then badisted Chelsea's third goal and Giroud's first goal.

An almost perfect ball saw Giroud connect gently in half-volley while Chelsea ran away with the match.

Giroud then doubled his total for the day by catching a ball on the left side before making his way into the area where he finished with a straight edge.

Chelsea will travel to the other side of the world as his pre-season tour continues in Japan, where they will face Kawasaki Frontale and Barcelona.
