Students appeal to conflicting faction to end conflict
Simulated exams were launched for candidates for the Basic Education Certification Exam (BECE) in Chereponi District.
Students lost over 31 days of contact with their teachers because of bloody clashes between two ethnic groups on a piece of land.
The security situation remains relatively stable and a possible surprise confrontation of Chokosis and Konkombas has cast a cloud of uncertainty over the safety of students and other residents.
Both ethnic groups attacked unsuspecting residents of the rival faction, mutilating and displacing hundreds of women and children on the run.
Students remain determined, however.
Mock exams began Thursday, according to Gifty Andoh-Appiah of Joy News at Chereponi EP and DA junior high schools before the main exams that will take place on June 10th.
