The victim was raped twice by the same victim
The chief of Freso, an agricultural community in Bosome Freho District, Ashanti Region, is in the hands of the Bekwai Divisional Police for raping a 12-year-old girl.
Nana Kofi Asumaning, who is currently behind bars, is awaiting trial today, May 24, 2019, police said in the UK, Accra FM.
It was medically proven that the victim had been penetrated and bruised, collected Kingdom FM in the medical report.
According to Bekwai police, the chief allegedly asked the victim to go home to take GHC 10, supposed to be paid for firewood that he had bought from his widowed mother.
The girl was allegedly raped by the leader when she went home to collect money on the first day; however, he refused to pay the money and warned him not to tell his mother what he had done, with the promise of picking up the money the next day.
The source said that he had still raped her the next day and that he still refused to give the girl money.
The twelve year old girl rushed home crying and reported the incident to her mother.
When Nana Kofi Asumaning was confronted, he vehemently denied the allegation and publicly invoked curses against the girl and her mother.
A medical report from the police, however, confirmed that the girl had in fact been repeatedly penetrated and severely bruised. The police immediately arrested the leader.
