More than 3,000 children in North Carolina will get a bike helmet thanks to an initiative to reduce the number of injuries and deaths.
In a press release, the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation reports that it is using funds from the sale of the "Share the Road" specialized license plates to pay for the bicycle helmets distributed at the time of sale. Security events by governmental and non-governmental organizations.
According to the ministry, a record number of 101 organizations have applied to participate in the program this year.
