BEIJING, July 9 (Reuters) – China’s cyberspace administration on Friday announced it would remove 25 mobile apps operated by Didi Global Inc (DIDI.N) from app stores as the government intensifies crackdown on the transport.

The apps in question used data illegally collected by Didi and includes data from its delivery service, camera and financial services, China’s Cyberspace Administration said in a statement.

Last week, just days after Didi listed on the New York Stock Exchange for $ 4.4 billion, the cyberspace regulator ordered app stores to remove Didi’s main ridesharing app.

He also told Didi to stop registering new users as he launched an investigation into the company, citing national security and the public interest.

Didi shares reduced their gains to around 4% after Friday’s last announcement, after trading up more than 9%.

The company lost about $ 21.5 billion in market value in three sessions this week, fearing the fallout from China’s increased surveillance on domestic tech companies and listed companies overseas.
