It is still a question of not responding to several requests from the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to provide him with information on the 275 buses he was supposed to have brought into the country and given to the constituency of the party.

In the notice of contempt proceedings found by the Daily Graphic, CHRAJ asked the court to obtain an order for Mr. Blay to be sentenced to imprisonment for disobeying his legal requests. .

According to the motion, on July 6, 2018, the CHRAJ received a complaint from the Coalition for Social Justice, asking the commission to investigate Mr. Blay's corruption for his role in the purchase of 275 bus for the 275 constituencies of the ruling party. , the nuclear plant.

After reviewing the complaint, the commission concluded that it had the mandate to investigate and therefore initiated an investigation.

The motion indicated that on August 20, 2018, the CHRAJ wrote to the respondent to comment on the allegation "within 10 working days, unless it acknowledged the allegations".

"The said letter was duly given to the respondent, but he failed, refused / and / or neglected to oblige the commission to comment as he requested," he said.

CHRAJ indicated that she had therefore written another letter dated September 24, 2018, "reminding the Respondent to submit her comments and extending the time until Friday, October 5, 2018 to allow her to submit comments ".

According to the motion, the respondent ignored this letter again.

In the motion, the CHRAJ stated that, finally, it issued a subpoena dated January 21, 2019 allowing the respondent to produce certain documents by Monday, January 28, 2019 and that, according to the motion, it had also been ignored.

When the defendant again failed to respond, the commission took into account his busy schedule as Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Board and Chairman of the NPP. She therefore endeavored to write another letter dated April 11th. 2019, reminding him to submit the documents.

The respondent again failed to respond to the request, the petition said.
