Chris Brown was released in Paris after being arrested as a result of a rape allegation. The French police now have two days to decide whether he will be formally charged.
The AP reports that Brown was arrested by French police, alongside his bodyguard and another badociate, after a woman had complained of aggravated rape.
The woman said she met Brown and the two men on January 15 at the club Le Crystal, near the Champs-Elysees. She then says that they went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Men are also detained for drug-related offenses. The Paris police have another day to let them go or file a complaint.
On Instagram, Brown denied the allegation with a text picture saying "This B! Tch Lyin ". In the legend, he explains: "I WANT TO MAKE IT PERFECTLY TRANSPARENT …… IT'S FALSE AND A LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEERERRRRR !!!!!! FOR MY GIRL AND MY FAMILY IT IS SO DISPRESPECTULAR AND AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALE !!!!! "
In 2009, Brown pled guilty to criminal badault on his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, but he has also had a series of charges and legal problems since.
Last year alone, he was sued by a woman who claimed to have been raped at Brown's home by another man and held against her will; he was arrested in July for violence related to a 2017 incident at a Tampa nightclub; and in December, he was charged with illegal possession of a company monkey. He could face six months in jail for the last one.
In addition, in 2013, he was charged with manslaughter against a man, and then was expelled from the rehab to which he was legally compelled to attend. In 2016, he was also arrested for allegedly badaulting a woman with a firearm.
