Chris Eubank Jr has predicted that he will stop James DeGale when they meet later this month.

DeGale lost twice as a professional – against George Groves and Caleb Truax – but both scored points.

And Eubank Jr thinks he can send his British rival retired by concussion.

"He's a former world champion and an Olympic gold medalist, so I can not afford a flat performance," he told ITV Boxing. "I can not afford to go there and not be the best fighter I can be.

"I have to go and produce what we have been working on for six months, I have to follow the strategy and I think I will do it.

"We both know that a defeat is devastating for our career and that's what makes the fight so exciting.

Chris Eubank is confident that he will stop James DeGale

"The beating takes me back to where I want to be at the top of the game by competing for world titles.

"I can not afford to lose, I can not even afford to have a flat performance, too bad to lose.

"I trained for a 12-round bout but it will not last 12 rounds, I know I'm going to stop it."

"You will try to run but you will end up tired and I will stop you."

DeGale has given up his world title in favor of the victory over Eubank Jr.

No man can afford to lose

And he thinks his clbad will say it on February 23rd.

"It's going to be 12-round schooling," he said. "He's tough and he's solid, so it'll be hard to stop – but do not rule that out.

"It's going to be a school, it may have some successes but not much, I'll beat it and I'll get it right.

"I see weaknesses and I see how I'm going to beat him Chris thinks he's better than him."
