Chris Evans spoke about his stint at Virgin Radio and admitted that his new hours of work were starting to wane with his family, just weeks after the start of his new breakfast show.
The DJ, 52, also praised the lifestyle change that the move has brought and that since he left the BBC, he has lost weight and stopped snoring.
He was delighted with the transformation of his health and declared his renewed desire to train for running the London Marathon.
Speaking on the show The Breakfast Show with Dr. Michael Mosley, a television doctor, who was promoting his new book on diet – The Fast 800 and the new tour in the UK, Chris revealed that weight loss also caused him to stop snoring and sleep better.
Chris said he was getting up at 4 am, but he slept better and better than ever before. He told listeners, "I lost weight recently.
"I've changed plans and I'm training again for the marathon, so it's a good time of year, and the circumstances have changed." I just feel better at about everything.
"But I stopped snoring.The reason I know I stopped snoring is because my throat is no longer painful."
Dr. Mosley said the lack of snoring was directly related to Chris' weight loss. He said: "Snoring is mainly about fat deposits in the neck.
"One of the benefits of losing weight fast is that you sleep better, which means you feel better and your cravings are less sweet."
Since leaving BBC Radio 2, where Zoe Ball badumes the prestigious breakfast room, Chris has been working longer since his morning show lasted 30 minutes more per day and the launch of a new show on Sunday morning, an impromptu decision, during his first week on Virgin Radio.
In spite of the longer hours, Chris said he was happier in his new broadcast house, although his wife, Natasha, needed a little more conviction for the show's broadcast. Sunday.
With the twins arriving last year, Chris admitted that the idea of working at 10am-1pm Sunday had "begun to falter" with Natasha and her family but that despite the show put on For six weeks, he hopes that the weekend become permanent on the schedule.
Speaking to listeners about his new weekend routine, he explained how he had tried to soften the idea with Natasha and her children.
Chris said: "My wife Tash arrived this weekend with the kids, we had a nice day on Saturday.
"I have stayed at a nice hotel around the corner, I thought we could combine culture and children, we went to dinner around the corner, which was beautiful, a local gem".
"So we get up on a Sunday morning and the kids go to the pool, I go to the station, I thought it might work.
"But she is already wearing very well, she has seen through my cunning!"
Chris had the habit of organizing the Breakfast Show show at Virgin Radio between 1997 and 2001 and hopes that his return to the station will significantly boost their 439,000 weekly listeners.
