Publicist Chris Sutton said Naby Keita cost Liverpool two points in the Premier League title game on Monday night.

Keita saw Michail Antonio from West Ham running away from him following a free kick from the Hammers at London Stadium. Antonio then finished smart to tie the score at 1-1.

Sadio Mane had given the Reds' advantage to Stratford, but they eventually had to settle for one point for their second consecutive Premier League game, giving up the title initiative to Manchester City, winner 2. -0 to Everton on Wednesday.

Liverpool still have a tough game, but Sutton said Jurgen Klopp's players were ranked first by their Guinean midfielder.

Antonio escaped Keita's attention to score

"So, you expected your players, you're talking about a sufficient number of experienced players, to come on (on a free kick)," Sutton told BBC Radio Five Live.

"Keita is the one who stopped the free kick.

"It's a bad individual mistake and if you want to win titles and you have a team as strong as Manchester City with whom you compete, you can not afford those mistakes.

"You expect more from Keita and that's the difference with Liverpool.

Sutton says Liverpool could be punished for Keita's mistake

"This mistake, that of the extinction of Keita, cost Liverpool two points.

"They paid a lot of money for Keita. That's why you ask someone to do his job at the time the free kick materialized and that [Robert] Snodgrbad and as he pbades the pbad, Antonio has already made his race but Keita must see him.

"I do not understand how he does not really see it. It is a bad mistake of judgment on the part of a player in which he has invested a lot of money. "
