Chrissy teigen shared a tribute to her unborn son, Jack, on the day he was supposed to be born.
The model took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and sweet words after miscarriage with Jack late last year.
The social media post racked up over 800,000 likes, while many of her fans thanked her for being so open about her loss.
The Instagram photo, which showed Chrissy deep in thought, also read, “I can smile all day but thinking of you on your due date, bug.”
It follows his Instagram post in October revealing his loss. The photo showed her in the hospital crying, while saying, “We’re shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before, and give to our baby had the fluids he needed, despite the bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough. “
At the time, she then revealed, in the post which had over 11 million likes, that she and her husband John Legend had previously named their son Jack.
In a very open interview with Ellen two weeks ago, Chrissy revealed that miscarriage is a “ transformative thing. ”
Having spoken about her struggles with alcohol in the past, the model believes Jack motivated her to seek mental health treatment and adopt a sober lifestyle.
“It was a really transformative thing for me, in a way that it really saved me,” she said. “I don’t think I would have discovered therapy and then sobriety and this way to really feel good about myself and like a new person.
In an additional Instagram story yesterday, Chrissy also showed she had a bracelet with her name on it – she wore it alongside bracelets with the names of her other children – daughter Luna Simone, 4, and son Miles Theodore, 2 years old.
