Christina Applegate's career so far

Christina Applegate, 47, was born in Hollywood, California. She is the daughter of record producer Robert Applegate and singer / actress Nancy Lee Priddy, with two half-siblings from her father's second marriage.

She made her television debut while she was only three months old when she appeared in the soap opera Days of Our Lives with her mother.

Her film debut was slightly later in 1979 when she acted in a film called Jaws of Satan at the age of seven.

In the early '80s, she appeared in several episodes of television shows such as The New Leave It to Beaver and Silver Spoons, in addition to playing a recurring role on shows like Washington in 1985 and Heart of the City's 1986 to 1987.

However, her greatest achievement did not come until she was chosen to play Kelly Bundy in the success of the 1987 sit-com Married with Children – a character she played until 1997.

In 1991, Christina played her first lead role in a major film when she played Sue Ellen Crandell in Do not Tell Mom the Babysitter Guardian.

Then, in 1998, she starred in the Jesse show, for which role she won a People's Choice Award and a Golden Globe nomination.

Throughout the 2000s, Christina appeared in romantic comedies like The Sweetest Thing and View from the Top, as well as starring in two episodes of friends: The One with Rachel's other sister and The One where Rachel's sisters are sisters. Her performance in Being with Rachel's other sister earned her the Primetime Emmy Award.

One of her most famous roles was Veronica Corningstone's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy in 2004 and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in 2013.

More recently, Christina has appeared in the film The Book of Life, Bad Moms, Golden Globes nominee, and in the movie Dead To Me.

Netflix described the show as "an addictive black comedy that plunges into the painfully unfiltered and strangely amusing waters of grief, loss and forgiveness."

The bring on.

You can listen to Dead To Me on Netflix as of today, Friday, May 3rd.
