Christine and Paddy McGuinness shared this moving moment as their three autistic children flew for the first time.
Delighted parents could not contain their emotions as they shared a photo of Leo, Penelope and Felicity embarking on their first family vacation abroad – a trip that took the family six years to finally book .
The proud mother, Christine, told with caption images of children waiting at the airport and heading in the air with: "We made our first flight together as a family and all s & # 's 39, went very well.
"We are extremely proud of Leo, Penelope and Felicity, and despite all the extra hurdles our kids face, they have managed to get out of their comfort zone and they have done so well.

"We have been working, planning and dreaming for family holidays for 6 years.
"We started with a weekend in Southampton (we did not want to risk going abroad for the first time, when it was awful, we knew we could take a train back home. we), but they did an amazing job, I do not think that will be the case long before our first vacation abroad!
"It may be a" normal "thing to do for most families, but for" autistic "families like ours, it's a huge feat!

In another post, she cried out: "It was like that, by the time we waited 6 years, to get on the plane for the very first time!

"There was some hesitation to go up but once they were seated, they really enjoyed it!

Couples are the parents of Penelope and Leo, six-year-old twins, and Felicity, three years old.
The three children were diagnosed with autism – a permanent intellectual disability that affects the way a person communicates with and related to other people, as well as the way they live the world around them.
They are described as extremely sensitive to change and travel can often be extremely difficult.

Daddy proud, Paddy thanked and congratulated the staff of the airline for the trip of his family runs smoothly.
Sharing an image with the crew on Instagram, he said: "This was our incredible captain and our @flybe crew.
"I did not give the name of the captain but she let the children go around the badpit and gave my little boy the Captain's stripes on his shirt and allowed my daughter to have one of her keyring.
"What a fantastic model and the mini McGuinty were very impressed.
"The good captain informed us that her husband had taken us to Southampton a few days earlier."
