Secretary General of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Nana Yaw Kumi has established that the Pentecostal Church does not prohibit members from taking badually provocative pictures before the wedding, but discourages rather the act.
Contrary to information posted on the Internet that the Pentecost church banned members from taking badually provocative pictures before the wedding, the church said it had not yet taken measures to prohibit the act. For now, she discouraged members from participating because it does not describe the characteristics of a true Christian.
In an interview with Boamah Darko on "Maakye", the secretary-general of the Pentecost Church said that the Church had always disapproved of this act and insisted only on its position.
"I would like to say that the Pentecostal Church has not yet taken any steps to ban some of these badually suggestive photos, but for the time being (the church) condemns the act and discourages members from taking such pictures because we Christians owe a certain level or way of life that follows the path of Christ.
And this is not new, the Church has always disapproved of this act and we are only reiterating our position against it, not to mention that we are preventing our members from taking pictures before marriage, we can not do, but those who are badually suggestive is what the church condemns, "he said in Hot 93.9FM
At the same time, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana (SDA) also supported the call to ban badually suggestive photos before marriage.
Brother Kwabena Ofori Amoah, Director of Communications at the SDA Conference in Accra, said:
"This is a great call and if all the churches in Ghana followed this directive and invited their members to renounce such unholy acts, it would bring some reason to the system because it has become so ugly that Christians describe themselves even in the name of wooing who does not glorify God, "he added.
