The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has appealed to the family of the Tiger Eye PI's murdered investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, to ensure a thorough investigation to stop the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
CPA Joseph Ollu Gyamerah, deputy director of the CID in charge of operations, led the delegation to the home of Ahmed Hussein Suale's family in Madina.
"The police administration is seriously concerned about this and [the CID Director General] wants us to give you the badurance that we are making every effort to ensure that we carry out appropriate investigations on what has happened, "said ACP Gyamerah.
He badured the family that the director general of the CID, ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, was actually overseeing the file.
She ordered that the investigation be based at IDC headquarters "so that she is under his supervision. She will supervise everything and ensure that the culprits are brought to justice, because nobody is happy that such an event occurs. "
Ahmed Hussein-Suale was hit three times last Wednesday by two gunmen on a motorcycle.
He was allegedly beaten twice in the chest and neck when the attackers fired into his car.
He was a key member of the team who discovered corruption in Ghanaian football in July 2018 as a result of an investigation.
He has also collaborated with the BBC for some investigations as part of his work with Tiger Eye PI.
Nyantakyi and Ken Agyapong questioned about the murder of Ahmed Suale
Ghanaian police questioned Kwesi Nyantakyi, former president of the Ghana Football Association, and Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, as part of the investigation into the badbadination of 39; a Tiger Eye PI employee, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
In a statement released on Monday, police said his team of detectives had collected statements from both people about it.
