NAM1 Arrival Arrival of Nana Appiah Mensah at the airport

The managing director of the troubled gold distributing company, Nana Appiah Mensah, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for questioning after her return to the country.

Menzgold's boss arrived in the country early this morning from Dubai after being detained since December 7, 2018 for defrauding a business partner in that country.

Sources told the police that NAM1 would be taken to court on Friday, July 12, to be held in police custody while awaiting investigation of the alleged offenses.

Context

Last week, a Dubai court sentenced Horizon Royal Diamonds to pay, within three weeks, an amount of $ 39 million plus an allowance for wrongful incarceration in NAM1 as a result of a trade agreement between Gold Menzgold and Royal Horizon.

This order followed an unsuccessful call from Horizon against an earlier decision of the High Court to pay NAM1 its due for the supply of gold.

Thousands of Menzgold customers whose investments have been blocked after the revocation of its activities are eagerly awaiting Horizon to fulfill its obligations to enable them to receive their funds.
