New Chartered Institute of Marketing Leaders
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG) has elected a new board of directors to manage its affairs for the next two years.
It was at its 30th Annual General Meeting held in Accra.
Mr. Daniel Kbader Tee, Senior Manager at Ecobank, was elected National President, along with Agnes Emefa Essah, National Vice-President, Franklin Sowa, Secretary, and Shirley Acquah, Treasurer.
Other members of the Bureau are Mr. Theodore Osae, Mr. Kwasi Kyere, Ms. Annie Babah-Alargi, Mr. Paul Yao Asafo, Mr. Kojo Demanya, Mr. Emmanuel Neequaye, Ms. Doris Adabasu Kuwornu and Ms. Mary Asaa Ackuaku.
Mr. Kbader Tee said that their election was an opportunity to serve not only the Institute but the nation.
"We see in this overwhelming endorsement an excellent opportunity to serve CIMG and its mother, Ghana. Along with these opportunities, there are also challenges that will require our collective strengths, as an institute, to be overcome. "
He congratulated the former leaders for their hard work and said that they would be inspired to do everything possible to achieve the dreams of CIMG.
He is committed to working closely with everyone to protect and enhance the image of the Institute.
They would focus on strengthening CIMG's advocacy to influence government policy on consumer rights and other marketing-related issues, and to forge a closer partnership with public and private sector organizations to cost-effective implementation of the agreed programs.
In addition, there would be an intensification of professional marketing training, an aggressive membership campaign, a digitization of marketing projects and the promotion of relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to attract the world's attention on Ghana.
Kbader Tee called for the creation of a brand index survey report for meetings of metropolitan municipalities and districts (MMDAs) and other public bodies.
This, he said, should be based on public perception of the "brand health" of bademblies and local communities, using agreed criteria such as tourism, peace and culture.
"This, in my opinion, will cause stiff competition among local bademblies to attract the best rankings in this report, as this could attract business and tourism to most local communities across the country."
