Accra, August 2, GNA – Togbe Afede XIV,
Chairman of the board of directors of the independent power chamber
Producers, Distribution Companies and Bulk Consumers, Ghana (CIPDiB), stated
the formation of the room was long overdue.
He said that it was a normal practice that
operators in the same field of expertise and service delivery have joined forces
together to push and influence national policy to address the concerns of
citizens, not only in the energy sector, but in all sectors.
Togbe Afede made the remarks at the
Inauguration of the Board of Directors of the 15-member House
technical and political orientation for its members.
Board members also include;, Mr. Kwame
Pianim, Economist, Mr. Samuel Nana Brew-Butler, Executive Director (MD),
Cenpower Generations, Mr. Qun Yang – President, Sunon Asogli Power Ghana
Limited, Mr. Reginald France – Member of the Board of Directors of Early Power Limited, Mr. Daniel
Acheampong – Managing Director, Valco, Erik Van Der Staaij, MD
Tex Styles Ghana Ltd and Mr. Bhavesh Kumar – MD, B5 Plus Limited.
The other members are; Mr Murat Captug –
Country Director, Aksa Energy, Mr. Kelvin Wu, MD, BXC, Mr. Volkan Buyukbicer,
National Director, Karpowership, Victor Noja, CEO of CENIT Power, Mr. Norbert Anku,
MD, Enclave Power, Mr. Kojo Fosu, CEO of Trojan Power Ltd, Mr. David Kwadzo
Ametefe, former Commissioner, Public Utilities and Regulatory Commission (PURC)
and Mr. Elikplim Apertorgbor, CEO of CIPDiB.
He said that the work and fortune of the
companies were inextricably linked and none of the companies could survive
without the other.
