Clark Co. health officials: two more confirmed measles cases and two schools added to the list of exposures | New

CLARK COUNTY, WA – The total number of measles cases confirmed in the local outbreak has increased to 61.

Clark County has announced two new cases confirmed Sunday afternoon. They also reported that there were no more suspicious cases.

Public Health added that, in addition to the new pair of confirmed cases, two new exposure sites have been identified. Both are schools in Vancouver.

They are:

Image Elementary School located at 4400 Northeast 122nd Avenue in Vancouver for the following days: Monday, February 11 to Friday, February 15.

Pacific Middle School located at 2017 Northeast 172nd Avenue in Vancouver for the following days: Monday, February 11 to Wednesday, February 13.

Here is the breakdown of confirmed cases:

  • Age
    • 1 to 10 years: 44 cases
    • 11 to 18 years: 14 cases
    • 19 to 29 years old: a case
    • 30 to 39 years: two cases
  • Vaccination status
    • Non-immune: 54 cases
    • Unverified: five cases
    • 1 MMR vaccine: two cases
  • Hospitalization: a case (none currently)

Public Health urged all people who were at the exhibition site and / or who think they have the symptoms of measles to call their health care provider before going to a doctor's office.

Public Health has created a call center for issues related to the measles epidemic. Anyone with questions can call 360-397-8021.
