Clever has been teasing the single’s release since December 2020 when he tweeted, “I had a verse on Life’s A Mess long before Halsey. It’s not a remix. I’m dropping it in early 2021 and there’s Post Malone on it too. No drum like Juice wanted.

“There was once a hole in my heart, that hole hurt me / ‘Until I peek inside, lately I’ve been scheming / When I was crying, I turned to drugs / Then I found something real and I forgot all about the imitations, ”Clever sings on his extra verse.

The Post Malone line begins with the same chorus “Have you ever fallen head over heels in love with someone” as the Clever and Juice WRLD clips. “Did that make promises to give you the world?” / And I swear I’ll never leave you cold / There’s no one above you / You were way too high to touch, ”he continues.

Clever and Post Malone appeared together on Justin Bieber’s “Forever” album Changes and Clever had previously collaborated with Juice WRLD on “Ring Ring” by Death race for love.

Clever’s next album CRAZY presents collaborations with Lil Baby, Lil wayneand Isaiah Lyric. He also recently released “Rolls Royce Umbrella” starring Chris Brown.

CRAZY is the last full version of Clever since its 2019 project Who is smart? which has hosted appearances from NLE Choppa, NoCap and Rylo Rodriguez.
