At 14,000 light-years away from the Earth, on the edge of the Milky Way, is a region called CTB 102. It is difficult to study from here, because an intermediate cloud of gas and dust prevents us from seeing . The badyzes of the region must therefore involve research in the field of infrared and radio waves – and this is what a team of American and South Korean researchers has done.
