Mr. Latsu made the remarks at a forum organized for the Menuso Muslim Women's Association in Menuso, Kadjebi District, Volta Region.
The forum aimed to sensitize women to the need to participate in the country's governance processes.
He said it would be difficult to achieve this enviable goal if local and national policymakers did not take the problems of women and girls seriously.
Mr. Latsu said that even though there were so many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) women / gender or groups, it should be remembered that their impact had not been felt so much in some of these areas.

"It may be time for these groups to pool their resources and act in concerted and coordinated ways to achieve results," he said.
Miss Delight Ama Serwa Akey, head of civic education at NCCE, called on women to participate in the decision-making process at all levels, as such missions are vital.

Ms. Akey said the process should be free of political capture to achieve the desired results.
She also advised women to send the girl to school instead of forcing her to get married.
The member of the Menuso Electoral Sector Assembly, Mr. Baba Abdul Rahman, thanked the NCCE for the educational program that informed him about the need to participate in the governance process.
Mr. Rahman appealed to the Kadjebi District Assembly and to charity organizations to help carry out the Menuso EP Elementary School Teacher's Bungalows project launched by the community in 2015.
