The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the National Peace Council (NPC) to determine the venue for discussions on activism.

According to a report by Peacefmonline.com, this follows a letter sent to the NDC by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the same subject.

In its letter, the NPP indicated that its chairman, Freddie Blay, was in discussion with the NDC on this subject.

He also agreed with a suggestion that stakeholders such as the NPC should play a key role in the discussions.

The NDC indicated that in its view, the NPC, as mediator, should designate the venue for the discussions, as it is ready to abide by its decision.

The proposed talks follow an appeal by President Akufo-Addo in his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) to the NPP and the NDC to take steps to dissolve their groups d & # 39; self-defense.

He added, however, that a failure on the part of the parties would compel him to ensure that a bill deals with the issue.
