The Black Bombers coach, Ofori Asare, warned IBF Lightweight World Champion Richard Oblitey Commey against any unification project with WBA and Unification. WBO, Vasyl Lomachenko, when he was half fit.

The national boxing amateur coach believes that Commey has the necessary qualities to hinder the dangerous Ukrainian boxer and must ensure that he remains conditioned for the fight, if any.

The coach Asare told Graphic Sports in an interview that Lomachenko was not unbeatable and Commey had to beat him in order to prove to the world what he was doing.

He also called on the 31-year-old Ghanaian to work harder to reign for a long time in the division after gaining much experience in the sport after his bouts with Robert Easter Jr in 2016 and Isa Chaniev on Feb. 2.

"He must not fear any opponents of the division because he is also world champion. The only advice I give him is to make sure that his injury is completely healed before he decides to take action." Take it to Lomachenko.

"Having fought Robert Easter Jr and Isa Chaniev, he has gained a lot of experience and I think he can worry Lomachenko when the time will come. The only thing that will remain will be the training and the concentration, "he said.

Commey (28-2, 24 KOs) destroyed Russia's Isa Chaniev (14-2, 6 KOs) in two sets at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, on Feb. 2, to annex the IBF lightweight world title.

The Ghanaian should face Lomachenko during a unification bout on April 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, as part of his fight contract with Chaniev, but a right leg injury could delay the bout.
