The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has warned prospective job seekers to be wary of fraudsters who extort huge sums of money from job seekers in exchange for jobs on the Council.
In a statement, COCOBOD's public affairs department said the scammers used the names of heads of public figures, CEOs of public institutions, politicians, clergy and other internship leaders at COCOBOD.
The statement stated that "COCOBOD will want to reiterate that it has not asked any person or group of persons to solicit applications for job interviews and / or placements within COCOBOD".
As a legal entity, all vacancies at COCOBOD are published in national dailies.
COCOBOD therefore advises all jobseekers to be wary of these fraudsters and report it to the police. We will also continue to work closely with law enforcement agencies to bring these fraudsters to the accounts.
