The guys at ColorWare will take just about any gadget under the sun and dip it in a few Pantone coded paint pots for you. It is not surprising then that they are now applying their multi-chromatic processing to the iPhone 4.

As usual, you just need to pick a color scheme, write a check for 250 USD, send them your phone and wait for them to send it back to you, as nicely painted as the nails of a surfer girl.

However, what makes the ColorWare treatment more interesting this time around is that a layer of paint on the antenna might be enough to counteract the notorious reception problems of the iPhone 4.

ColorWare does not promise anything yet, but they are testing their latest coloring process for iPhone 4 in the lab to determine if it has a measurable effect on reception. Be that as it may, this is perhaps the first ColorWare paintjob that transcends the decorative as a prophylactic.
