Aaaa and we are back. The first international break came, predictably claiming a starter from Atlanta United en route. Although Pity Martinez may be away for a week or two, the Five Stripes still hope to win their first league win of the season in Columbus.
As you well know, the era of Frank de Boer had a difficult start, with only one victory out of seven in all competitions. They make two disappointing draws at home against teams they should beat. We can only hope that this extended break will have been enough for De Boer to make everyone on the same page.
Meanwhile, the crew started the season in pretty good shape, winning two wins, one draw and one loss. If Atlanta United wants to keep its perfect record of the 4-0-0 regular season against Columbus, it will have to find a way to score a few goals, something hard to find so far this season. Tito Villalba, who has five career goals against Crew, will likely have a chance to add to that total.
