Horses have a long history of therapeutic work with children, traumatized patients and people with disabilities. The Connected Horse project used this knowledge to apply to people with cognitive impairment and their care partners. Generally, programs focus on the patient with the diagnosis or on the care partner separately, but the Connected Horse project brings them together.
