Interior Minister Ambrose Dery Announces Work on Ghana Police Helicopter Shed
A groundbreaking ceremony of construction work was held at the Tesano Police Training School, in Accra, to mark the start of construction work for a helicopter hangar for the service police station.
The hangar, built by Paramount Group and Rizzle Consult, will be completed in September of this year. [2019].
This is part of the steps taken by the Ghana Police Service to establish an air wing to manage the aircraft that will be provided to the service by the government.
The government has already indicated its intention to provide three helicopters to the Ghana Police Service to improve its services.
Although it is not known when the planes will arrive in the country or where they will come from, police sources have suggested that the Police Administration is working to set up an air unit to pilot the aircraft. .
