EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A student from Coronado High School was hit by a car near campus on Friday morning.
A spokesman for the independent school district of El Paso said that the student had been slightly injured and that the driver of the vehicle had received a quote for not giving in to pedestrians.
Police have recently launched a new pedestrian safety campaign, in which the department urges drivers and pedestrians to be more aware of their environment and pay attention on the road.
The names of the people involved in the accident have not been disclosed.
