Coronation Street introduced its first black family, the Baileys, to hit the ITV soap.
The quartet – composed of Father Edison, Mother Aggie, and sons Michael and James – is about to arrive at the grand opening this spring by buying Norris Cole's home.
Introduced by producer Iain MacLeod, the new residents of the famous street will soon mark their imprint, but it soon becomes clear that one of them hides a big secret.

The family is headed by Father Edison, known as Ed, played by Trevor Michael Georges, who bought the construction site of Jason Grimshaw with his eldest son.

His wife Aggie, played by Lorna Laidlaw, is a pharmacy badistant who is fun, scandalous and friendly.

Speaking of the new family, producer Iain said, "I am very excited to introduce this new family – the public will love them! They are funny, warm and will join together in a hurry to tell the stories we offer them. .
"Parents Edison and Aggie are soul mates who, under the joke, will defend each other and defend their boys when the situation becomes difficult. His eldest son, Michael, is an exuberant and adorable dreamer with a huge heart and the bond that unites the family. He added, "The four actors we chose are all brilliant individually, but together they have a really amazing chemistry. I can not wait for them to hit the screen!

Trevor, an actor from Edison, who appeared in Holby City, said of the role: "I never allowed myself to imagine being part of such an enormous icon in the history of television. "Watching a scenario where Edison Bailey (my character) argues with Ken Barlow could not be more humiliating … and a little scary."

James, star of the movie, Nathan, who had roles in the West End, added: "I am very grateful for this opportunity to join Coronation Street and be part of this show.
"I'm excited to be part of the Bailey family and delighted to explore the difficulties that James might encounter along the way."
