Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is stunned to learn that her son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) sells drugs and threatens to tell the police, but will it put them both in danger?
Stressed out, Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) collapses fearful of returning to prison, while incarcerated Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) could die behind bars after making a shocking decision, and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) makes a sincere confession.

Simon refuses to stop selling drugs
Traumatized Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) talks to his dad Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) about the unsavory things he’s seen doing Simon and his shady mate Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan), and Si is forced to confess to Leanne that ‘he sells drugs to pay off the growing debts his mother incurred.
Lee is livid but blames herself for letting things go in circles as she mourned for Oliver. Turning to the family for help, Carla Connor (Alison King) refuses to involve the fragile Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) but has a word with Jacob herself, telling him to leave her stepson alone. Big mistake, as it leaves So humbled and determined to impress Jacob even more so he can continue processing in order to put food on the table. Leanne threatens to go to the cops as Simon brings his bad boy to the apartment to count the drug money – can she really buy her own son?
Yasmeen taken to hospital
Callbacks of the villainous Geoff from the scale of the financial mess he left her in place push Yasmeen to the breaking point, and she collapses at home in the grip of a panic attack. Convinced that she could end up in jail, Yas is calmed by worried Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) who drive her to the hospital.
After being released, Yasmeen takes stock and takes positive steps to banish the memory of her brutal husband for the sake of her sanity. Tim insists on transferring everything his father left him to his stepmother, but Yasmeen only wants to keep the house and surprises everyone by gifting the shares of Speed Daal to fellow Geoff survivor Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox). Can the two find the end of their ordeal together?
Johnny beaten in prison
When Johnny runs into another inmate, he is beaten without provocation, leaving Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) even more concerned with her husband’s physical and mental state of mind. The only thing that makes life behind bars bearable is Mr. Connor’s hallucinations of deceased son Aidan, so he’s reluctant to start taking his MS medications to curb them.
Jen is desperate, while minxy Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) feels that her stepmom should abandon the impassive prisoner and makes a date with the guy who flirted with her at the bistro a few weeks ago. Emphasizing that this is far from useful, Jenny then implores her husband to take the drugs – otherwise he will die in his cell. Will Johnny choose life?
Nina and Asha are already finished?
The unexpected romance between Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Asha is sweet, quirky and very pleasant. So of course the couple are already hitting the rocks – it’s soap, what did you expect? This week, Asha is emotional when she is abandoned by her girlfriend to go bat watching with her uncle Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Later, Nina also lies that she’s busy not attending a surprise birthday party for Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) – is she avoiding Asha?
Explaining that it’s healthy for a couple to keep interests apart, while reassuring the teenager that she wants to slow down her romance and that she has no doubts, Nina is then taken aback when Asha admits that she has fallen. in love with her.
