Coronation Street Star Tristan Gemmill announced that he was leaving the soap opera ITV.
The actor, who plays chef Robert Preston in the show, tweeted Friday, April 26 to share the news, teasing that there was still a lot of drama before he left.
"My friends, I just wanted to let you know that the time has come for me to hang up the chief's equipment and go out looking for new pastures," he wrote.
"There are still many dramas and shenanigans coming for Robert, but I will leave @itvcorrie later in the year."
Devastated fans rushed to respond to Tristan's announcement, with one person writing: "Please, ask the producers not to kill you, so that they can come back to it." Future and check the bistro. "
Tristan could potentially leave the show at the same time as her ex-screen, Kym Marsh, who announced in February that she would take a break from the pavement.
The actress has been playing Michelle Connor for over a decade, but decided that it was time to pull out … for a moment.
But how could the two succeed?
Coronation Street broadcasts Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
