Former Managing Director of the Venture Capital Trust Fund, Daniel Duku
A high court in Accra has granted a bond to the former chief executive of the Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF), Daniel Duku, as well as to five other people he was accused of having caused a financial loss of 42.8 million cedis to the state.
The former CEO received a bond of 50 million Ghanaian cedis with 3 sureties.
The second defendant, Richard Lbadey Agbenyefia, a former Keta MP and board member of the Venture Capital Trust, and Charity Opoku, the 6th defendant, who was a VCTF accountant, were cautioned.
The fourth defendant, Kofi Sarpong, who was an investment officer for the company, was released on bail of 40 million cedis with three sureties.
The third and fifth defendants, Irene Anti-Mensah and Frank Aboagye Mensah, each received a bail of 20 million cedis with two sureties.
The case was postponed to May 24, 2019.
