After appearing in court on Monday, the six men were remanded in custody to allow for a full investigation into the case. They are due to appear in court again on July 27, 2021.

In an interview with Salt FM, the young boy Enock Kweku admitted to having stolen from several stores in the town of Agogo.

Meanwhile, the victim’s father, Kwabena Boateng, expressed concern about the incident and called on the government to help take care of the child as he is financially unable to pay the boy’s medical bills.

“The government should help resolve this incident for us, as far as the care of the child is concerned. We don’t have the money for that, so our doors are open for help.

Parents urged to protect their wards

A children’s activist warned parents to protect their wards from abuse and violence.

In an interview with the host of Salt FM’s morning show Anopa Bosuo, Akwasi Boduah, Coordinator of Child Defense International, Ms Helena Acquah said that most parents leave their wards unattended, which leads to all kinds of problems. of child abuse.

She further stated that children under the age of eighteen are minors and do not know their rights and therefore need to be guided to make the right decisions.

Miss Acquah condemned and also called for the arrest of the perpetrators of the wicked act while accusing the parents of the young boy of having totally neglected him.
