The Sekondi District Court ruled on Friday, March 5, 2021, as the day of judgment in the murder case involving the four girls kidnapped in Takoradi and the two Nigerian suspects.

The two suspects, Sam Udoetuk Wills and John Orji were on trial for their role in the kidnapping and murder of the four girls.

A conspiracy to commit kidnapping charge turned into conspiracy to murder after the four girls’ remains were found.

Monday, a case of absence of file filed by the lawyer of the suspects was rejected by the court chaired by the judge Richard Adjei-Frimpong.

The judge after the ruling announced March 5, 2021 as the date of judgment on the case.

He ordered lawyers for the state and the accused to file their written addresses on February 24, 2021.

“I instruct the public prosecutor, Patience Klinogo and his team to file their written address on February 17, 2021 and the defense lawyers to also file their written address on February 24, 2021,” he reportedly said.

He further asked the two counsel to deliver an oral address to the seven-member jury two days before the day of judgment.

A judgment will be rendered after the oral speech. This will put an end to the affair which has lasted for almost three years.
