Production companies T2N Media and Pop Music have joined forces to sign global publishing rights with Studio Dragon, the media powerhouse that worked on the drama, for the planned musical adaptation. Live performances are expected to begin in Seoul in mid-2022, while casting for the lead roles is reportedly about to begin.
Crash landing on you follows the story of a wealthy South Korean woman, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) who accidentally crashed in North Korea after her paragliding trip went haywire. There, she finds Ri Jung-hyuk (Hyun Bin), an elite North Korean officer who helps him hide and find his way back to South Korea. A blossoming romance tests the limits of their relationship and how far the two will go to be together.
The drama set the record for the highest ratings in the history of the cable channel, tvN, as well as one of the shows watched on Netflix in 2020. – the screen ultimately led to some real romance, much to the joy of their fans.
