World superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been removed from the cover of the latest edition of FIFA 19.
Ronaldo is the star of the cover since the release of FIFA 18 in September 2017. Neymar, Kevin De Bruyne and Paolo Dybala have been replaced by a mid-season reorganization.
The star of Juventus has also been replaced by American star Alex Morgan in the login page, although EA Sports has clarified the reasons for its withdrawal.
They cited a new image before the knockout stages of the Champions League, as the competition for masterpieces appeared in the game for the first time this year.
"With the participation of the UEFA Champions League at EA Sports FIFA 19 this year, we have a unique opportunity to offer players a range of new content reflecting the real excitement of football," said an EA spokesman at Eurogamer.
"We often celebrate different talents in our sports matches and, with the knockout stages of the current UEFA Champions League, we present some of the biggest stars of football and offer new players a range of exciting content."
New players added to the cover join an illustrious group of FIFA stars.
Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney have appeared three times each in the last decade, with Kaka, Gareth Bale, Marco Reus, Frank Lampard, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Jordan Henderson also on the bill.
