CRISTIANO RONALDO has given Juventus the green light to appoint Maurizio Sarri as the next director, according to reports.
The Italian is about to leave Chelsea and return to Serie A after the departure of Mbadimiliano Allegri.
The leaders of the two clubs had fruitful talks in Baku before the final of the Europa League last Wednesday.
Chelsea is willing to let Sarri stay and see the rest of his contract, but would not oppose his situation if Juve increased the £ 5 million needed to buy back his contract.
And it seems that the agreement is in its final stages with the old lady having already concluded a three-year agreement with Sarri that will allow her to earn up to £ 6.2 million per season.
According to Tuttosport, superstar Ronaldo is happy to see the former Napoli manager heading for the Italian champions.
This despite previous quotes from Sarri suggesting that no player is bigger than the team.
He recently told Vanity Fair: "There are medium teams of big players or big teams of average players.
"I work on this [concept]. The champion is the one available to the team, otherwise he is only a good player.
"The fun is contagious if it's collective. If you're having fun alone, the boredom comes in five minutes."
Sarri also revealed that the lure of returning to Italy was a decision too difficult to refuse.
He added: "For us Italians, the call to the house is strong.
"I feel that something is missing. The year was heavy. I am beginning to feel the weight of distant friends and elderly parents whom I rarely see.
"But at my age, I only make professional choices, I will not be able to work until I'm 20. It's hard work, the bench.
"When I go home to Tuscany, I feel alien.I have been sleeping 30 nights in this city in recent years."
