I know, in general, we avoid covering Kickstarter products, but from time to time, a product catches our eye with a rather cool look or a bit like luggage. This time, it is the SuperTank, a slightly ridiculous name for a battery, a portable charger, a battery backup, etc. The monstrosity you see above spews a silly total of 138W, with up to 100W on a unique USB Type-C port. All this power is also very economical, with an "Early Bird" price of $ 89.
Aside from the almost worrying level of power (well beyond the standard 15 to 45 W available on Amazon), the battery has a set of typical and unique features, such as a 27,000 mAh FAA-OK capability , a transfer charge, a special low power consumption charging mode for portable devices and Jackery style LED display for the remaining capacity.
Four ports in total – 2x USB Type-C and 2x USB Type-A – all live on the same board (objectively the best configuration). The output levels of each are mixed and the battery itself recharges from the USB Type-C up to 100W. And although that may look like metal (luggage), the battery is unfortunately just locked in a plastic composite.
At the time of writing, the project has already doubled its target compared to Kickstarter, although about half of the $ 89 Early Bird units have disappeared, with the price going to $ 99 when it will be. and $ 149 after the end of the Kickstarter. It is also possible to combine a 100 W / 136 W desktop charging station for 59 to 69 USD if you need a high power power source.
