Members of the Danish royal family wore a sumptuous evening outfit while attending a family dinner at the Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen tonight.

The 79-year-old Queen Margrethe, who organized her 75th birthday celebration, Princess Benedikte, was dazzled by a purple and black lace dress, paired with an enchanting pearl necklace.

Princess Benedikte arrived in a carriage pulled by white horses, while enthusiastic individuals gathered in the hope of seeing the kingship.

She beamed with joy in a shimmering turquoise dress to which she had added a range of silver jewelry.

Crown Prince Frederik, 50, and his wife, Princess Mary, 46, have co-ordinated in the Navy for effortless polish.

The mother of four was wearing her well-pulled hair back to show off her pink makeup, which she complimented with a pink lip gloss.

Princess Nathalie and Princess Alexandra of Sayn Wittengenstein-Berlebourg, daughters of Princess Benedikte, and Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille were also present.

The Danish Royals honored the 75th birthday of Princess Benedikte by organizing a number of events in addition to dinner.

Yesterday an exhibition was inaugurated in Koldinghus with a selection of personal items of the king, including jewelry and clothing.

Many supporters lined up outside the hotel to wish a happy birthday to Princess Benedikte, who died two years ago.

Princess Benedikte of Denmark, born at a time when Denmark was occupied by Germany, married Prince Richard Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg a year after his proposal in 1967.

The couple settled in Berleburg after the birth of their three children. However, the princess continued to make official commitments on behalf of Denmark.

Benedikte, 75, has unfortunately lost her husband after 49 years of marriage in 2017.

She is now the patron of 31 Danish organizations and five foreign organizations that focus on humanitarian or artistic or sport goals, including the Alzheimer's Association, Green Girl Guides and the World Diabetes Foundation.
