Crypto Bigwigs calls for boycott of Bitcoin SV despite controversy surrounding prosecution

Personalities in the cryptocurrency sector have called for a boycott of Bitcoin SV, a blockchain project created by Dr. Craig S Wright.

Crypto celebrities, including Anthony Pompliano, co-founder of Morgan Creek, and Charlie Shrem, a Bitcoin activist, have called for exchanges to remove the BSV from Bitcoin SV. In his tweet published April 13, Shrem called Bitcoin SV a "scam" and Dr. Wright "swindler", insinuating that the project deserved to die.

"I'm surprised that BSV is even listed anywhere. It's an obvious scam controlled by an obvious hustler, "said Shrem. "It goes against the reason we are here. Remove BSV from all exchanges and let it die. #DelistBSV. Long life #Bitcoin. "

In surprise, BSV is even listed anywhere. It's an obvious scam controlled by an obvious hustler. That goes against the reason we are here at the beginning. Remove BSV from all exchanges and let it die. #DelistBSV. Long life #bitcoin

In another tweet published on the same day, Mr. Pompliano shared the same anti-BSV sentiment. The crypto commentator asked the exchanges to show solidarity with the Bitcoin community and remove BSV from the list on May 1st.

"This community is the responsibility of the people. Sometimes we have to do the hard work, not because it is easy, but because it is right, "added Mr. Pompliano.

Each exchange should remove the BSV list simultaneously on May 1st, as a sign of solidarity behind the only bitcoin that has ever counted.

Prosecutions in bulk

The request came after Mr. Wright's threat to sue an independent cryptocurrency developer for writing against his claims that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoins.

The law firm representing Dr. Wright, SCA ONTIER LLP, sent a legal letter to Twitterati HODLONAUT, asking him to retract his statements and apologize to his client. The letter also accused HODLONAUT of representing Bitcoin Cash, the outside rival of Bitcoin SV.

A similar letter was sent to What Bitcoin podiatrist Did Peter McCormack, who called Dr. Wright and his ardent advocate, Calvin Ayre, scammers.

"I think that pretending to be Satoshi and promoting a fake version of Bitcoin is fraudulent. I believe it is in the public interest, "said Mr. McCormack. "Let's go to court."

1 / I have therefore received my letter from Craig Wright and @ CalvinAyre. That's what they send to people, you see it all now.

I absolutely reject their demands.

Things went bad for Bitcoin SV when CoinGeek, the crypto blog overseen by Mr. Ayre, announced a $ 5,000 reward for BSV to reveal the true identity of HODLONAUT. In a tweet yesterday, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao threatened to remove his BSV pairs from his global cryptocurrency swap. The clear message prompted a community movement to abandon BSV as a whole.

BSV price down

The anti-Bitcoin SV sentiment could soon begin to reflect on its market. While the BSV / USD instrument merely follows the general trend of the cryptography market – a downward correction – its likelihood of extending its upward momentum in the medium term may be less.

Bitcoin SV (BSV / USD) in bearish correction

Since the beginning of the fiasco, the BSV / USD instrument has fallen by 18.25%. The pair is now testing support on its 50-day moving average curve. A break down would make it rather difficult to make a healthy return. And if all exchanges have been removed from the list, there is a high probability that the token will fail.
