The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye, asked the Privileges Committee to present to Parliament, on Wednesday, February 13, the first report on Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, about some derogatory comments he made about from the room.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, was brought before the Privileges Committee for his remarks that would have offended the Parliament and Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, leader of the majority.

Mr. Joseph Osei Owusu, Chairman of the Committee, told the House that the first report on Mr. Agyapong was ready, but that another matter had also been referred to the Committee.

He added that the Committee had therefore decided to finish its work on the second question before submitting the reports.

However, in his ruling, the President asked the Committee to present the report on the first case by Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Chief Whip of Minorities, to Parliament by Wednesday, 13 February 2019.
