Customers of Menzgold Menzgold customers participated in demonstrations last year and are ready to do the same next month.

Menzgold's customers, its former gold dealer, will begin a series of events starting April 2 to demand the continuation of their major investments.

Menzgold Ghana Limited's Aggressive Client Coalition said in a press release that some 6,000 people would engage in permanent picketing at the Economic and Organized Crime Bureau (EOCO), the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Justice. Jubilee House insist on their demands.

"The action has become necessary because of the casual attitude of government actors vis-à-vis the plight of customers who suffer," the statement said.

The Coalition says in the statement that 15 of its members have died as a result of shock and heart failure resulting from the blockage of their funds.

Baffour Amankwaa, the MCCA representative, told Graphic Online that he was troubled by the GA's inability to liquidate the Menzgold's badets.

He claimed that EOCO officials had informed its leaders of the conclusion of the investigation and forwarded their findings to the GA.

"We recently contacted EOCO and they told us that they had completed their investigations and forwarded their findings to the Auditor General so that he would begin winding up the company.I do not know why the Auditor General is delaying", said Amankwaa.

Menzgold's chief executive, Nana Appiah Mensah, is in Dubai where he faces a $ 23 million crime charge that went wrong.

He is currently in custody at the Al Barsha Police Cell.

The indictment for a crime in Dubai amounts to a second degree offense in Ghana and, if found guilty, he can spend up to two years in prison.

Returning here to Ghana, the Organization for Combating Organized and Economic Crime (EOCO) froze the properties of Menzgold and its badociated companies.
