MacDill Air Force Base held a commemoration ceremony Thursday morning to mark the 75th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, France. Nine World War II veterans were recognized for their service.
The Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General David L. Goldfein, and the Air Force Chief Sergeant Chief. Kaleth O. Wright were guest speakers. Each honored veteran was presented at a crowded auditorium with a standing ovation.
