A man was arrested for pushing his daughter up a supermarket staircase after arguing with his brother about a shopping cart.
The man, known only as Artem, was arrested and interrogated after shocked staff posted troubling images on social media.
The incident was filmed under video surveillance at the Gurtovnya store in the Rivne Oblast region of Ukraine.
The father of four children, 46, can be seen in the pictures pulling the little Anzhelika out of the store by his hand.
He then seems to launch the six-year-old boy, who is dressed in a pink coat, down the steps.
She tumbled helplessly on the concrete flight before landing with a detonation at the bottom.
The shocked girl looks at her helpless father from the ground.
He looks at her before returning to the supermarket.
Anzhelika, who was injured as a result of the incident, gets up and goes tentatively back to the store.
Artem then insisted that the girl falls after removing her hand from hers, reports the Daily Mail.
He said, "I just wanted to take her apart, but when we were on the porch, she pulled her arm and fell."
Police spokeswoman Zoriana Melnyk said: "The video caught the attention of the police after being posted on Facebook.
"Thanks to the locals, the man was quickly identified.The police visited the family of the man and his wife recognized him, as well as their daughter, in the video . "
The mother of the arrested man stated that he was a "good man" but that his four children were under tremendous pressure while his wife was in the hospital.
Galyna Stonogova claimed that she would soon be a "good father" and thought she had pushed her daughter out of "exhaustion" and "fatigue".
Accused of parental negligence, he could be sentenced to one year of forced labor.
