Dangerous ticks are on the rise. Here is what you need to know.

There is growing concern about the previously rare types of diseases previously rare in ticks in the United States. The blacklegged tick not only spreads Lyme disease, but it can also transmit a serious virus that may have killed one man and sickened another in New Jersey. In Kentucky, a two-year-old boy would recover from another tick-borne disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Dr. David Agus joins "CBS This Morning" in Los Angeles to discuss how to protect against ticks, eliminate them and the consequences of some tick-borne diseases.
